 What you need to become a licensed real estate agent

I am pleased that you are interested in becoming a real estate agent and wish to assist you in getting started on your journey into an exciting career. In order to become a licensed real estate agent, you must fulfill the following requirements:

Completion of pre-licensing courses

  • Before taking the licensing exam, you are required to take a specific amount of pre-licensing instruction and classroom hours that cover the basic principles of the real estate industry.
  • The pre-licensing course requirements to obtain your license vary state by state, as do classroom hour requirements
